The Together Teacher

<p><i>The Together Teacher, 2e </i>will address the changing needs of the teaching force by adding sections on lesson planning efficiencies, storage and reference, balance and self-care, more attention to new teachers and specialists (social workers, music teachers, etc.), how to manage student and family communications, how to organized school-required technology systems, how to maximize preparation periods, and new websites, apps and online resources.<br /><br /> In addition to adding workbook features such as rubrics, practice sections, and reflection questions, the author has planned new content on:</p> <ul> <li>Dealing with the how, when, and what of the numerous pieces of information that teachers receive</li> <li>Handling student organization</li> <li>Improving lesson planning efficiencies, reflections, and storage</li> <li>Capturing feedback and ideas for instructional improvement</li> <li>Using technology, such as Slack, Google Drive, and Class Dojo</li> <li>Featuring more teachers with families and traditional district teachers in Day-In-The-Life profiles</li> <li>Wearing multiple hats, such as grade level chair, sports coach, and parent lead</li> <li>Functioning even when your school is not Together</li> <li>How to figure out Togetherness levels when job hunting</li> <li>Developing beginning and end-of year set up and pack up checklists</li> <li>New videos for the online resources</li> </ul>
